The problem
Driving instructors run their business from the car: students, lesson times, payments and progress, often between lessons. No Yelling needed one app that let instructors manage all of it simply, and kept working as the business grew.
What I built
- Student management: profiles, lesson history and progress.
- Scheduling: lessons, reminders and calendar views.
- Payments and income tracking for each instructor.
- In-app support chat, biometric login, address search, and offline access to recent data.
How I approached it
Built to be maintained.
A small-business app lives for years, so the priority was a structure that later features could build on, not replace.
Monitoring and support in the app.
In 2024 I added performance and crash monitoring plus in-app support chat. Problems now show up in a dashboard, and users can ask for help without leaving the app.
Updates that reach everyone.
When a release has to reach every instructor, for example after a backend change, the app prompts users to update.
Launch & after
Five-plus years later, the app is on version 3.1.8, still shipping updates, and rated 4.8★ on Google Play.
